BIORESOURCES

AND THE CIRCULAR

ECONOMY

Discover the activities of the Association Ghent University and the Internation Thematic Network on research, education and business collaboration

RE-Source.bio was born at Ghent University, a leading institution in bioresource recovery research. It focuses on the biobased segments of the circular economy, aiming at closing loops and upcycling biobased resources by relying on local and international associations & knowledge sharing. For this reason, Re-Source.bio combines two interconnected branches – RE-Source.bio @AUGent (AOP) and RE-Source.bio International Thematic Network (ITN).

RE-Source.bio @AUGent brings together more than 40 research groups from five UGent faculties and three associated University Colleges (HOGENT, Howest, and Artevelde Hogeschool). Re-Source.bio ITN has 15 UGent promotors and more than 22 international partners from Europe, Asia and North America.

Activities are divided over 6 themes, each organized via a dedicated Working Group.
