RE-Source.bio combines the ITN and AOP platforms:

Previously known as "INFINITY", the ITN RE-Source.bio clusters the international academic collaborations within AUGent with a focus on bioresource recovery from by-products and waste streams in the agro-food value chain.

It specifically aims at:

  • Supporting UGent international educational programs, with a strong collaboration with China;

  • Fostering a vigorous student exchange - for all involved international partners, including a consolidated network with Asian Partners, we have a focus on Joint PhD development and the establishment of a cohesive community around these PhDs;

  • Reaching out to researchers through summer schools and participation at international conferences.

Association Research Platform

The AOP branch stimulates and strengthens research and services on resource recovery within the AUGent association via co-promotion of PhDs, joint submissions of projects and funding requests, and knowledge exchange via seminars.
